Sorry Pamela!Recap on Week one:

I haven't been writing on this as regularly as I should have(which i don't really have much of an excuse for )

Anyway....
We were given the brief on the first  Monday of the two week elective.I decided to opt with "The Natural World"and whilst searching through the library (a bit frantically to be quite honest) I stumbled across an anatomy book.Thinking back Ive always been interested in anatomy and the body in an almost weird way.I've a box of animal bones in my bedroom that my leaving cert biology teacher jokingly gave me a as a gift because of my crazy obsession with them-but if i had my way i would also still own a jar of cow eyeballs suspended in formaldehyde but my mother vetoed that.Biology was my favourite subject in school( I even picked it over art as an exam subject) and the diagrams of the body and it's organ's used to make studying easier and more interesting at least for me.I loved the little intricate shapes of parts of the body and the way it joined together it seemed natural that it should inspire my project.

I started by isolating shapes from my source eventually settling on a vertebrae and a pelvis shape. On Tuesday we started working on colour schemes.

I decided I wanted to work with pinks, greenish tones, light blues reds and creams.

Wednesday we had a introduction to fashion illustration and sketchbook layout and we spent Thursday and Friday continuing on with the design process.
